The 网赌上分平台's Department of Environmental 健康 and 安全 services the University community by promoting 健康 and 安全, 环境保护, 法规遵从性. 的是吗&S team is staffed by a Connecticut state-certified Fire Marshal and supplemented by subject matter experts in enterprise waste management and environmental services.
We are committed to developing a culture where 安全 and 健康 are core values, adopted and practiced throughout all levels of the University and to providing high-quality 咨询 that facilitates the University's mission of research, 教学, 和服务.
EH&S fosters partnerships with faculty, 学生 and staff to enable them to recognize risks and empower them to learn, 发现, and work safely and to minimize injuries, 疾病, 环境影响, 监管风险. We accomplish this by providing exceptional service and leadership through program development, 信息和培训, 咨询, and periodic review of environmental 健康 and 安全 practices.
The 网赌上分平台 provides a safe and 健康y work environment in accordance with the Occupational 安全 and 健康 Act (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910.1450 "Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories" also known as the Laboratory Standard. Commitment to 健康 and 安全 is the responsibility of individuals at all levels to protect the 安全 and 健康 of all employees, 学生, 还有环境. The University's written Chemical Hygiene and Hazard Communication Plans provide guidance to 学生 and employees for safe work practices while in the laboratory environment.

安全委员会
The 网赌上分平台's 安全委员会 is comprised of 学生, staff from a wide range of University departments and is chaired by the associate vice president of public 安全 and administrative services. The 安全委员会 meets regularly to address environmental, 健康, 安全, and risk topics at the 网赌上分平台 and works to identify ways to improve 安全 on the campus.
